MEET KASRA TORABI, ESQUIRE

Kasra Torabi heads the Business & Corporate Law practice of Pacifica International Law Group LLP.  He has built his practice around providing business-focused legal counsel to executives, entrepreneurs, and public companies spanning 25 industries.

Practice Areas: Mr. Torabi works specifically in the areas of contracts, international transactions and commercial real estate.

Education: Mr. Torabi earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), with a secondary degree in Near Eastern and Iranian Studies. He is fluent in Farsi and conversant in Spanish. Mr. Torabi graduated from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), where he served as Notes & Comments Editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.  He graduated with High Honors in several disciplines and earned a Certificate in Law and Technology from the Berkeley Center for Law and Technology.

Court Admissions: Mr. Torabi is admitted to practice before all California State Courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Bar & Professional Memberships: Mr. Torabi is an active member of the California State Bar, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and its section on Real Property, and the American Bar Association and its section on Real Property, Probate and Trust Law.

Prior Experience:Prior to joining Pacifica International, Mr. Torabi worked with the Antitrust Section of the Attorney General’s office, part of the California Department of Justice. Among other matters, he contributed to the largest corporate merger investigation in California history.

Outside Counsel Services: Mr. Torabi serves as Outside Counsel to Americare Dental Group, Inc. (ADG), responsible for providing legal support for all company operations and regulatory compliance. His efforts in structuring strategic real estate purchases and 1031 exchanges helped the dental services giant accumulate and manage a thriving real property portfolio in major high-growth California markets. Most recently Mr. Torabi facilitated the successful launch of Preventa Dental, a high-end dental services provider, as a spin-off of ADG.

In a similar capacity, Mr. Torabi serves as Real Estate Counsel to Dixie Ridge Commercial (DRC), a real estate developer recognized by the City of Bakersfield as the highest quality developer of mixed-use properties in California. Mr. Torabi oversees execution of the firm’s real estate acquisition, development and liquidation strategies. Among other responsibilities, Mr. Torabi chairs DRTC’s Site Review Committee, manages its real estate holdings and option portfolios, negotiates leases, joint ventures and development agreements, coordinates due diligence, structures tax-deferred exchanges and handles all land use and entitlement matters.
